Supply Chain Management
Lab Curriculum.
STARTING SOON
BUG FOUND: learners who know supply chain terms, but cannot fix a stock-out or a broken plan.
$ step-01 brushup // weeks 1–2 — Topics taught:
- Inventory basics: stock, reorder point, safety stock, and lead time.
- Demand forecasting basics: trends, seasonality, and forecast error.
- Procurement and vendor basics: orders, lead times, and costs.
- Logistics basics: warehousing, transport, and delivery performance.
- Excel for planning: tables, formulas, and scenario checks.
- Reading a supply plan and spotting a shortage before it happens.
$ step-02 debug // weeks 3–4 — Production Debugging. Tools: Excel, sample order / inventory / vendor data.
- BUG #1: Stock-out on a fast-moving item — find the forecast / reorder error, correct the plan, show the new stock cover.
- BUG #2: Excess stock on a slow item — find the over-order cause, propose a drawdown plan without a new stock-out.
- BUG #3: A vendor delay breaks a plan — re-plan with available stock and lead times, show the service impact.
- BUG #4: Demand forecast is systematically wrong for one category — find the seasonality / data error, correct the forecast method.
$ step-03 navigate // weeks 5–7 — Codebase / System Navigation:
- Navigate a supply network: orders, vendors, warehouses, and lead times; trace a shortage to its true cause.
- Fix a plan without creating a new shortage elsewhere; check knock-on effects.
- Build a supplier / lead-time tracker and use it to prioritise expediting.
- Present a plan change with cost vs service trade-offs, in writing.
$ step-04 ship // weeks 8–9 — Shipping Features: capstone — an optimised inventory / logistics plan for a real-style business, with cost and service trade-offs stated.
$ ship → PROOF — exact output: inventory / logistics plan, forecast-error comparison, and a trade-off note.
